Born in New South Wales in 1941, McKay dominated the sports of squash in the 1960’s and 1970’s. During her sports career, McKay lost only two matches in her entire career (one in 1960 and 1962). She was unbeaten in competitive squash matches from 1962 through 1981. When she retired in 1981 at age 40, McKay had gone nearly 20 years undefeated. After retiring, she remained active in international Masters level event and won two over-45 world championship titles and two over-50 world championship titles.
